There are always a few weddings each year that I show up to and I really don’t know how they are going to go. It’s a mixed bag. It could go very, very well or it could go south quickly if all the pieces didn’t line up. With Jazmin and Derrick, I just knew the wedding was going to be awesome. From my experience initially meeting with them last year, to capturing their hilarious personalities in their engagement session, to the Class A team of vendors they assembled, this wedding was going to be a treat.
It was an absolutely gorgeous spring day, with the dogwoods and cherry trees in bloom, and just the right mix of sunshine and crispness in the air. We started out with Jazmin getting ready for the day before she had her first sighting with Derrick in a secluded spot of Falls Park. Afterwards we spent some time capturing some shots with their bridal party before heading over to the iconic Wyche Pavilion for their ceremony. Even with plenty of great moments already behind us, I knew there was still lots of fun ones to come. We headed up to the Larkin’s Cabaret Room for their reception, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Plenty of great food, drinks, and dancing lead into one of the coolest exits I’ve ever captured: A light saber exit. Check it out!
Thanks again guys!! I had a blast!
