This wedding was a really special one for Debra and I. As some of you may know, in addition to wedding photography we also own and run a small winery and vineyard in southern Greenville county called City Scape Winery. While we have been photographing weddings for 11 years, we just started hosting smaller weddings at our winery earlier this year.
When we met Sarah and Evan earlier this year, it became clear that it was a natural fit for us both as a venue and on the photography end. With their great sense of humor and laid back approach to life, we knew it was going to be an amazing collaboration! They had this great idea of doing a Farm to Table dinner style wedding for just their very closest family and friends. We typically tent the space, but they really wanted that open air feel, so after we checked the weather, we decided to go for it! It couldn’t have gone better. With plenty of that beautiful early fall weather, it was just so refreshing to be there with everyone in the vineyard. Sarah got ready in our bridal space next door and walked down beside the vineyard where they said their vows. After an emotional ceremony we took some time to explore the vineyards and waterfalls at nearby Cedar Falls Park as the sun set. Then came cocktail hour and an incredible 4 course farm-to-table style dinner catered by Seasons Catering, paired with some of our local city scape wines. It was a beautiful night filed with laughter, great people, and incredible food – and one I won’t ever forget. Just as their marriage symbolizes two people joining, it was also a marriage of our love of photography and our new venture at the winery. Cheers!
Thanks again for choosing us guys!! We had a blast! Cheers!
