When I first met with Tegan and her parents about their wedding I figured something was up with the date. It was December 19th, 2014. First off, December isn’t exactly prime wedding season, and why do it on a Friday? They actually had a very good reason. You see, it’s a tradition in Tegan’s family to get married precisely on December 19th. Her parents did, her grandparents did, along with several other family members, and they have all stayed together ever since. Talk about a unique tradition!
Now I’ve seen a lot of tacky Christmas weddings in my day. You know, the ones with the bright red bridesmaid dresses accented by green flowers and matching groomsmen with red vests and green ties? Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas… but that’s not exactly my cup of tea. I’m happy to say Tegan and Mack stayed far away from that, but still incorporated the Christmas season with some very tasteful and elegant choices. After a beautiful intimate ceremony at Lutheran Church of Our Savior everyone headed downtown to the Commerce Club on the 17th floor of the One Liberty Square Building. Decked out in thousands of Christmas Lights, candles, and beautiful centerpieces it was a perfect backdrop for a night of excellent food, dancing, and plenty of great holiday cheer!
Thanks again guys!! We had a blast!
