I usually don’t show up to wedding ceremonies covered in champagne, but I couldn’t help it at Kathryn and Alan’s wedding. Before you judge me, let me explain! The bridesmaids had a fun idea for a shot of everyone opening up champagne bottles before they got ready for the day. Little did I know, this would involve nine bottles of champagne shooting twenty feet in every direction. Without a spare suit in the car, I did the best I could to dry myself off and not appear like a completely drunk photographer during the ceremony.
I think this set the tone for the wedding. Kathryn had a day filled with so much bottled-up excitement that it just couldn’t help but infect the whole day. We started off the day at a rental house at the Cliffs Valley where all the ladies got ready (and covered me in Champagne). Afterward, we headed up to the Cliffs at Glassy chapel for some quick photos before the ceremony. With the ceremony complete, we climbed up to the top of Glassy Mountain to enjoy the views and make some incredible images before heading back down to Cliffs Valley Clubhouse for their reception. The setup was beautiful, with stunning flower arrangements from Gregg Foster and a beautiful uplighting and DJ package from Jumpin’ Jukebox. All that was left was to enjoy the food, drinks, and dance the night away! Check it out!
Thanks again for having me!! It was a blast!
