Sometimes weddings don’t always look or feel like what you imagine them to be. For example, most people don’t imagine their day being rainy and overcast, but statistically speaking it’s bound to happen to some people. Next comes the psychology part, do you get upset about the weather… or do you embrace it and hope for things to clear up. With the remnants of hurricane delta coming through right on Andrea and Chad’s wedding day, they had no choice but to accept a few rain drops.

That also means the photographer has to be dynamic as well. After all, a rainy and cloudy day is no excuse for bad wedding photos.

We started out at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville, SC. Shortly after some creative photos with the bridesmaids and groomsmen we headed up the mountain to the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel. At first, it was hard to even see the chapel, but right after the ceremony the sky started to slowly clear, revealing the view that makes the 45 minute drive from downtown worth it. With perfect fall colors and plenty of love in the air, we had a blast running all around that wet mountainside before heading back down to the Hyatt for a reception filled with plenty of great dancing, food, and hilarious moments.
