I was so excited when I got to sit down with Parul last year and hear all about her Indian wedding coming up. It was going to be at a brand new beautiful venue called The Rutherford, and it was going to be a fusion Indian/American wedding, much like Prexa and Thomas’s wedding we shot a few years ago!
The day started early at the Embassy Suites in the Verdae section of Greenville, where everyone got ready for the day. The details were impeccable, from the beautiful Jimmy Choo shoes to the ornate jewelry, clothing and henna work that covered Parul. Shortly after we arrived at The Rutherford for the Groom’s grand entrance. Although Josh is Puerto Rican, he got all into the festive nature as he paraded inside carried by his groomsmen. Now inside The Rutherford, everyone was greeted by beautiful arrangements of fresh orchids and an absolutely stunning mandap, under which the ceremony would be held. The beautiful symbolism of Indian weddings always intrigues me, and this ceremony was no exception. Shortly after, Parul had her entrance and the two became one. After the ceremony was over, everyone gathered downstairs for lunch and to take a small break before the American ceremony started a few hours later outside.
We returned later to meet Parul and Josh, now in American dress: The classic white wedding dress for Parul & suit and tie for Josh. Held in the beautiful outdoor lower setting at The Rutherford, everyone gathered for the grand entrance. The ceremony was beautiful and short, but right to the point. As the sunset shortly after, the smell of delicious Latin and Indian food filled the air. The rest of the night was filled with dances, speeches, and plenty of great moments that I’ll let you experience in the images below. Cheers!
Thanks again for having us guys! It was such an amazing weekend, and one we won’t forget for a long time!
