I always knew Sara and Kevin’s wedding was going to be beautiful. After all, it was at a big southern plantation, right on the water in Charleston. But when Debra and I drove through the big iron gates of Lowndes Grove Plantation it was even better than I expected. Palm trees, live oaks, a historic southern mansion complete with all the architectural details of the day, and of course the beautiful outdoor reception setup with a stunning view of the Ashley river. It was going to be a good day.
We started off with Sara and her bridesmaids getting ready in one of the many rooms of the Lowndes Grove House. Sara looked absolutely stunning with just the right amount of style and grace. Kevin waited out on the dock outside, ready to finally see his bride. After an emotional first sighting we did some quick photos before the ceremony on the lawn overlooking the river and property. As the sun slowly set behind the trees the party started up, complete with plenty of great food, speeches, and hilarious moments. It all ended with one of the coolest exits I’ve seen: A sparkler lit exit to a boat as they rode off into the night sky. A perfect ending to one of the most picturesque weddings we have captured yet!
Thanks again for having us guys!! Hope you are loving the Dominican Republic!
