I love when I get those frantic, last minute plea-for-help emails. “Josh, We are planning to get married next week. It’s just us and we love your work, please tell me your still open!!” Not only can I sense the intense excitement through the email, I know it will also show up again on the wedding day. After all weddings are supposed to be about the couple, the love they share, and the binding commitment they are making to each other… not “how fancy can we make this” or “how can we include everyone so no one gets offended.”
Karen and Luke did it right. It was a beautifully cold day, filled with plenty of wind, snow flurries, and beautiful sunsets. We met up at the Spartanburg Courthouse, they exchanged rings, meant every word they said, and avoided all the drama and expense that comes along with bigger, over the top weddings.
