Wedding at Larkin’s on the River | Jackie + David

Oct 15, 2013

I’m pretty sure if anyone ever checked my phone, they would probably be convinced I’m cheating on my wife. With a variety of text messages from anonymous numbers saying things like… “Meet me at 10am in Room 451 at the Hyatt Downtown, Can’t wait!” one would think I wasn’t exactly being the most faithful husband. But when I woke up Saturday morning to a text message from Jackie saying “We are in Room 777,” I knew I was definitely going to get lucky that day.

When Debra and I showed up to the beautifully remodeled Hyatt at Downtown Greenville to capture Jackie getting ready, we couldn’t have asked for more. A beautiful corner suite overlooking main street. It definitely lived up to its room number. After capturing some beautiful moments of Jackie getting into her dress, we walked down to their ceremony at Larkin’s on the River, where they proceeded to walk down the isle, say their vows, exchange rings, plant a small bush, kiss each other, and then walk back… in that order. Yes, the bush planting was new to me too, but I think it’s very fitting for a girl who works at Twigs, and the symbolism is certainly there. A few photos later and we were on to their gorgeous early day reception at the Wyche Pavilion in the heart of Downtown. Definitely a lucky day indeed.
