Some things don’t always go as planned. It was supposed to be a beautiful sunny fall day up at the Cliffs, but instead there was a 95% chance of rain. Things didn’t always go as planned between Jeremy and Jamie either. If you would have asked 13 year old Jamie who it was that she wanted to marry forever, she would have said Jeremy (as she admitted during their ceremony in the beautiful Cliffs at Glassy Chapel). But after dating in the high school years, they went their separate ways and met other people.
But sometimes the unplanned journeys are the best. Yes it did rain on their wedding day, but it allowed us to make some of the most breathtaking images I’ve ever taken. And yes, Jeremy and Jamie went their separate ways years ago, but the distance allowed them time to realize that with some small changes they could truly be right for each other. And that’s what makes the best type of love story, they have to have their ups AND downs.
The day started off at the Cliffs at Glassy Clubhouse, where everyone gathered for some photos. Jeremy and Jamie did a first look so that we could hopefully capture most of their photos before the rain came. It turned out to be a perfect idea, and allowed us to get all the fall leaves, waterfalls, and mountain top images Jamie dreamed about. As we all gathered inside the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel, the mood turned quite a bit more emotional as Jeremy and Jamie barely held it together through the ceremony. With so many great friends and family nearby, beautiful music playing, and the dimly lit candles lighting up the isle, it was a really special time for everyone. After the ceremony Jamie surprised Jeremy with a ride in a vintage VW Bus to escort them to Song Hill Reserve for their reception. After some dances and toasts, it was time to party the night away and celebrate the long journey and ups and downs along the way.
Thanks again guys!! It was an absolute blast!
