As we sat at our table at Passerelle Bistro, I couldn’t help but feel like a pair of Russian spies. You see, we had been watching Philip and Elisa out of the corner of our eye as we snacked on some fresh croissants, waiting for Philip to get up and take Elisa out of the restaurant for a little walk around falls park. The wait grew longer and longer, and I could see Philip starting to nervously play with his napkin as the check came. She had no idea what was going to happen. Finally, they were off, with us trailing them shortly behind, armed with enough camera gear to photograph a small army. My wife, Debra, was there as my decoy in case we were spotted, a beautiful subject for the portrait session I would pretend to shoot as I watched Philip and Elisa out of the corner of my eye. We followed them to the waterfall undetected.. when all of a sudden, it happened.
